The atmospheric corrosion of weathering steels varies as a function geographic zone, season, and other environmental variables related to that region which the experiments have been done. Meanwhile, rusting is continuous process, it main product corrosion. current study investigates effects rust on steel in localized Digha, sea resort West Bengal, India. investigations performed by purposely accelerating laboratory within one week order simulate approximately 18 months actual can be achieved at field exposure. Anodic polarization comparable potentiostatic passivation obtained shorting with nobler metals, such copper or graphite. effect formation resistance after being immersed 0.01 M KCl solutions for polished unpolished samples has investigated using electrochemical techniques, potentiodynamic impedance spectroscopy (EIS). rusted surfaces’ morphology composition were characterized emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). Based results, concluded progressive leads decrease rate.
